Wall Sculpture Mufflon

This, made from a piece of lime wood, about life-size mouflon was created in numerous hours of work on various chainsaws, chisels and finally with oil paints and brushes.
 
 
 
Attention was paid to a naturalistic & finely crafted representation as possible. For example, the eyeballs are covered with boat paint to get a real reflection.
 
The Haarstrucktur is roughly indicated with the carving / chainsaw and later finer details worked out with hammer and chisel.
 
 
 
Subsequently, the sculpture was painted with several layers of oil paint to achieve particularly beautiful depth effect. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
The sculpture has on the back a recessed bed-front fitting, which guarantees an easy and safe suspension.
